To make the song "The Medley", the music director Rahul Sharma chose 18 songs from earlier films from a possible 250. The lyrics from those songs were used to express the way the characters were feeling in the present. The Medley became popular, especially because of the lyrics from the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai title song, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai title song, and Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge were used in the medley. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai starred Hrithik Roshan, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starred Rani Mukerji and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge had Satish Shah.
