IMDbBest Youth Actor Leading Role in a Motion Picture Comedy | 1994 | David
Budget 4,000,000 USD
Original title was "We're Alive".
One of the bad guys references the Ghostbusters. Coincidently, Michael Keaton was offered the roles of Peter Venkman and Egon Spengler, which went to Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. Michael Keaton worked with Harold Ramis on Multiplicity (1996).
Despite the presence of a major star in Michael Keaton, the film went to straight to video rental in many countries. Disney (who owned Hollywood Pictures) put out a considerable advertising campaign to accompany the video release and it resulted in the film doing quite well in domestic rental markets.
Went straight to video rental in the UK where it was given a '15' certificate after some minor cuts for content.
