TBS renewed the show for a third season, but the network later reversed their decision and canceled the show. The entire season was scripted but never shot.
The white computer terminal seen on the right of the bridge of the ship is a Commodore CBM-series, popular in the late 1980s.
The control panel used on the alien ship is a Grass Valley video switcher. A similar Grass Valley switcher was used as the control panel for the Death Star in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
Alice Wetterlund, who plays Kelly, would later go on to play D'Arcy on another pretty clever and amazing show about aliens, Resident Alien.
