TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Based on a book written by V.C. Andrews, "Petals on the Wind" second in a set of five novels. The Dollanganger series is told through four movies, one for each book of the same title: First "Flowers in the Attic", followed by "Petals on the Wind", "If There Be Thorns" and then "Seeds of Yesterday". The fifth and last book of the saga "Garden of Shadows" takes place before the "Flowers in the Attic" events. No movie came of it (January 2017).

Rose McIver (Cathy Dollanganger) would go on to the starring role, Olivia Moore, iZombie (2015-). In the series, Molly Hagan (Miss Calhoun) plays Eva Moore, Olivia Moore's mother.

Wyatt Nash, actor who plays Chris, was previously a contestant on the hit reality TV series Survivor (2000-)

Unlike the other Lifetime movies adapted from The Dollanganger saga, this TV movie was filmed in Los Angeles, while the others were filmed in British Columbia. This may explain why Corrine renovates Foxworth Hall and has the north wing and the attic sealed up, as Lifetime was unable to use the interiors from the first film. In the novel, Cathy does revisit the north wing bedroom and the attic just prior to confronting Corrine at the Christmas party.

Popular Dialogues

"Cathy: I'm pregnant with his child. Merry Christmas, mother."

"Cathy: Your wife won't miss you tonight? Bart Winslow: No, she's busy renovating the entrance for her family's mansion for about the 17th time now."
