IMDbThe first treatment of the script was written under the title "Kung-Fu Zombies" and a treatment was written for a possible sequel that would have starred Jonathan Winters as the ex-husband of Hope Holiday's character. Cameron Mitchell would have also returned as Capt. Harry Dodds in the sequel. However, for reasons which have never been explained, no sequel was ever made.
Hope Holiday was primarily cast in this film because she was Cameron Mitchell's girlfriend at the time.
Director Edward D. Murphy showed this film to Chuck Norris at a private screening.
Camille Keaton was paid in cash for the small part that she plays in this film.
The finishing editor Jim Wynorski cut both the TV spot and American theatrical trailer for this movie.
"Bartender: [breaks a block of ice with his head, hands the girl her drink and asks] Wanna have dinner tonight, babycakes?"
"Religious Freak: Tell me about the centerfold. Betty: The centerfold? Well, it's really not for positive sure yet. Well, we still have... Religious Freak: [interrupting her] Why are you doing it? For the money? Betty: Well, gee, like I said, I don't even know if I... Religious Freak: [interrupting her again] For the publicity? Betty: Well, sure, I guess you could say that I... Religious Freak: [interrupting her yet again] You're not doing it for the publicity. I know why you're doing it. Betty: Why am I doing it? Religious Freak: For the devil. Betty: The devil? Religious Freak: Yeah. Look around this place. It's the devil's den. Betty: [chuckles] Are you joking? Religious Freak: [seriously] No Betty. The devil's no joke."
