TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In the opening scene of the movie, all of the officers SWAT uniforms have United States flags on them except for Lt. Dangle. His is a Gay Pride flag.

Between members of the main cast and various cameos throughout the movie, all the cameos which were performed at the different tattoo parlors, this movie contains all 11 members of the sketch comedy troupe The State who wrote and starred in the various sketches on their MTV show of the same name.

A sequel titled "Reno 911!: S.O.S" was written before the film's release, centered around flashbacks between the start of the Lt. Dangle-led squad and a modern-day storyline involving a plane crash and an escaped serial killer, but the mediocre performance of this film led Fox and Paramount to pass on the project.

Popular Dialogues

"Deputy Travis Junior: Reno is a lot like Mayberry on the TV except that everyone's on crystal meth and prostitution's legal."

"Lieutenant Jim Dangle: This is the stupidest group of people I've ever worked with who are not legally retarded."
