The most surprising bit is a funny mention of one of the senior-most film critics, Dilip Thakur. The same thing was tried in the Hindi film Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), where a character was named after the film critic, Minty Tejpal.
The last time that Saraf played a senior police constable was in Rohit Shetty's Hindi blockbuster, Singham (2011). But his role in this film appears different due to the light-hearted mood of the film.
