Mayor Tom Loftis is desperate to revive the struggling and isolated New England island town of Widow's Bay. Facing a community with no Wi-Fi, poor cell reception, and a firm belief in a local curse, he pushes forward to turn the island into a tourist destination to create a better future for his son. He surprisingly succeeds, and tourists begin to arrive.
