A Warner Bros. press release reported that Gail Robinson of Denver, Colorado won an American 'So Fine' search to find ''the girl who best suited a pair of 'So Fine' jeans.'' The competition's prize was the opportunity to appear in a Warner Bros. film or television production but Robinson didn't appear in the credits for 'So Fine' (1981).
After this movie, writer-director Andrew Bergman did not direct another feature film until The Freshman (1990), an interval of about eight to nine years.
