Jamie Kennedy's character, Brad "B-Rad G" Gluckman, originally appeared in his hidden-camera show, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. According to Jamie Kennedy, the character of "B-Rad G" is a spoof of Eminem's character in 8 Mile, and started out in his stand-up comedy routines.
In the movie, B-rad mentions the name Rob Van Winkle. This is the real name of white rapper Vanilla Ice.
Both Jamie Kennedy and Anthony Anderson appeared in the Scream franchise. Kennedy famously appeared in Scream, Scream 2, and briefly in Scream 3 in a cameo, while Anderson appeared in a small role in Scream 4. Regina Hall also appeared in Scary Movie 1-4, which are spoofs of the Scream films.
Jamie Kennedy played Randy Meeks in the Scream franchise and Regina Hall played Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie in which her character's brother in Scary Movie played by Marlon Wayans is a parody character to Jamie's character in Scream
During the shootout scene a hour into the movie, B-Rad quotes Training Days Alonzo, "King Kong ain't got nothing on me"
"Brad Gluckman: Traffic, traffic lookin' fo my chapstick, feelin' kinda car sick, there's a Ford Maverick."
"Tec: Hey, yo, that was ill. Hey, where'd you learn that from? B-rad: Grand Theft Auto 3. Tec: Word? Can I borrow that? B-rad: You got a, uh, Playstation 2? Tec: Nah, I got GameCast. B-rad: GameCast? Well, there's GameCube and then there's Dreamcast. Which you got? Tec: Well, I said I got Gamecast, man. Damn! I can't afford it!"
