Somebody I Used To Know Review

Directed by Dave Franco, "Somebody I used to know" is quite an average movie. The cast of the movie was nice but dialogues, story, character development, cinematography was not upto the mark. It could have been a good movie but the story didn't give justice to it. The trailer of the movie was amazing but unfortunately the movie was not any good. The chemistry between Annie and Abed was great but there are so many factors in the movie that didn't support it. The major flaw in the movie was its ending, the ending is not exactly as one would expect from a rom com. After watching this movie, you will definitely feel that there was something missing in it or incomplete. There are a lot of scenes in the movies that were completely senseless and unnecessary which resulted in imbalance. The genre of the movie was Rom Com but it didn't seem like that when you watch it.

TRIVIA

Trivia

Alison Brie, a self-professed nudist, used her experiences with naturism in the writing and incorporated them into her character.

This marks the first collaboration between Alison Brie and Danny Pudi since they both starred in Community (2009-2015)

The "this is my note" scene between Alison Brie and Danny Pudi is a reference to their Community co-star Jim Rash, who would do it as a warm-up.

Dave Franco (writer) and Alison Brie (star) are married in real life.

In an attempt to quell husband Dave Franco's nerves ahead of the premiere of the movie, practicing nudist Alison Brie ran totally naked through the halls of a Los Angeles hotel they were staying at and knocked on their room door. When Franco opened the door to discover his nude wife, he just smiled, unfazed, and said "Get out of the hall." To which Brie replied, "I've done three laps already!" Brie captured the moment on video and posted a censored version on her Instagram account.
