Shaun Ryder cited the film as his inspiration for wanting to become a musician.
Adam Faith's limping throughout the film was from injuries he sustained from a severe car accident he suffered prior to filming. However, the limp was consistent with Mike having been beaten up at the conclusion of the previous film.
Although The Stray Cats were purportedly a five-piece band, a multi-tracked Dave Edmunds recorded all the band's songs.
The film's original X certification was reduced to AA to allow millions of David Essex fans to see the film.
The screaming crowds were all photographed at real David Essex concerts.
