Sharman Joshi who had to wax all his body to play a female character he said in an interview that he wont take up a female character in any of his further films but he played a female in Goolmaal 2006.
After the film's release N Chandra said that when ever he worked with new actors his films became big hits referring to his previous hits like Nana Patekar in Ankush 1986 and Madhuri Dixit in Tezaab 1988 they both were new actors that time.
The song Excuse Me Kya Re became quite popular.
