Rotten TomatoesTed Lasso is a hilarious show which comes with a bundle of positivity and hope. It has a lot of moral values attached to it and aims to leave the viewers reflecting upon these values. Throughout the series the themes of optimism and kindness are quite prevalent which can make us think that even in the toughest times there is hope for betterment. As it was released during the lockdown it won the hearts of millions with its witty and positive storyline and plot. A lot of resemblance to real-life football players have also been made in the show without revealing their real names. Only a true football player will be able to relate the show's plot to real-life incidents. The director of the series is praised for his remarkable work and how beautifully he produced the storyline. This is a fantastic show aside from being immensely entertaining, there is a lot to learn as well.

Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent on the show, was initially just hired on as a writer. He got so attached to the character of Roy that he sent an audition tape to Bill Lawrence and later won the role.
According to Hannah Waddingham, the shortbread biscuits that Ted brings Rebecca every morning were "absolutely horrific". The prop department admitted they hadn't put much effort into making them taste delicious, as they hadn't realized Waddingham would eat them with so much enthusiasm onscreen. Waddingham jokingly referred to Rebecca's enjoyment of the cookies as "the greatest acting of my life".
Jason Sudeikis said his own situation paralleled Ted Lasso's, in that he was going through a bad breakup with Olivia Wilde when the show was picked up (like Lasso going through a divorce with his wife), so, like his character Ted Lasso, he went to England (where the show is filmed) in order to grieve and start moving on.
When Ted Lasso is rushing out from Rebecca's office, he jumps before the door and hits his head on the door frame. This was not scripted and Jason Sudeikis actually hurt his head.
The character of Roy Kent is based on Irish footballer Roy Keane. Keane played in the Premier League from 1992 to 2006 for both Nottingham Forest and, more famously, Manchester United. Like Roy Kent, Keane was also team captain and was famous for his temper and aggression, both on and off the field. Coach Beard describes Kent as a "box-to-box midfielder", which is a description that was often used to describe Roy Keane's style of play.
"Ted Lasso: I appreciate ya."
