The film's plot is inspired by Michael Powell's controversial cult masterpiece Peeping Tom (1960) as well as the movie Mute Witness (1994).

When Harry Baweja had approached Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel for the film he had mentioned that the premise of the film was around the illegal porn movie nexus and they would be playing characters in the film. Sunny doing a guest appearance and Ameesha as a special appearance and it will be a short schedule in London. On arriving back to Mumbai, Harry hold them that he requires a few days of patchwork in Mumbai to complete the work for the film. Little did both know that this patchwork would extended their roles in the film, having numerous days and shoot - making their roles into full fledged roles.
