This series takes place in the final days of The High Republic era roughly 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Vernestra Rwoh, who is played by Rebecca Henderson, makes her live-action debut in this series. She has previously appeared in books and comics that are set in the High Republic era. According to Leslye Headland, Vernestra will be the only familiar High Republic character to be featured in the first season, and she plans to add others in a possible second season.
