STORY

Story
Emile Pulska is visiting his old friend Abe Stillman. During the visit they are attacked and Emile is struck senseless. This was the final days of the Beacon block of downtown San Pedro, which had gone to the wayside in its final years as seen on film. The area was well known to sailors from 1900 - 1970's. Some years after filming, the neighborhood was raised to redevelopment and housing. The iconic Shanghai Red's bar on 433 S. Beacon Street can be seen briefly in the film.
