TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This is Victoria Justice and Avan Jogia's third time working together; they previous worked together on "Victorious" and on the Nickelodeon TV-movie "Spectacular".

Peyton List is the only main actor who was actually the same age as her character while filming the movie. Her co-stars were all in their twenties at the time, even though they play her classmates.

Eden Sher also plays a similar 'nerdy' character as Sue Heck in The Middle.

Victoria Justice (Jodi)'s real-life boyfriend Pierson Fode made a cameo in the film congratulating Dave (Avan Jogia) after Jodi complimented him.

This movie has the same premise as the 1984 movie Revenge of the Nerds, where a group of outsiders and smart kids get together and take revenge on the popular bullies. In Revenge of the Nerds, Ted McGinley played the main antagonist bully and he appears here as the school Principal, who ironically is a also a nerd hater.

Popular Dialogues

"Sugar: You think you skinny anaemic fanboys have a monopoly on the one fictional genre where women and people of colour get to exist outside of backward social norms of traditional confinement, not to mention a genre that is largely premised on the idea that is the inevitable outcome of the current systems of patriarchal excess? Idiot!"

"Virginia Vanderkamp: You think all the outcasts are the same, but really we're like snowflakes, snowflakes that hate each other. Let me break it down for you. You've got your basic overachievers, your underachievers, your emos, your goths, your bandos, your drama dorks, orchestra oddballs and gleeks. Then there are kids lost in Middle-Earth, kids lost in space, kids who take up too much space, your steampunk, cyber punk, classic punk, kids with foreign parents, kids who are parents, Twihards, kids who try too hard, kids who write binary, kids who reject the gender binary, gamers, stoners, loners, anarchists, activists, masochists, and atheists. There are more strains of loser out there than the herpes virus. Uniting them under one banner, that is no easy task."
