    From very different backgrounds, the two women bond over their shared love for their families. As the women grow closer, Maria reveals her concern for her precocious, but lonely daughter Bella, who she fears is being bullied at school. At Anna's urging, her teenage daughter Emily takes Bella under her wings. Maria's husband, Hector, loses his job, and his ability to provide for his family. He falls into despair as he's unable to find work, and turns back to drinking. When he finds Maria at the Sparrow's house, he assumes she is cleaning houses. His pride overcomes him and demands she leave with him. Anna agrees to watch Bella as Maria leaves with Hector, hoping to reason with him, make him understand how much she loves him, and that she knows he is always there for his family. As they weigh the impact on young Bella, Anna and Mike face one of the most important decisions of their lives.

STORY

Story

March 30, 2015: "The Sparrows: Nesting," co-written by Kevin Kent and Kenneth Lemm, produced and directed by Nancy Criss, has been named an Official Selection in the 2015 Northern Virginia International Film Festival" and will screen on opening day of the festival, Monday, April 13, 2015 at 4:00 pm.

On Tuesday, July 28, 2015 a special screening of the film "The Sparrows: Nesting" was hosted by screenwriter Ken Lemm at the AMC Sugarloaf Theater in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Actor Josh Feldman, who played Max Sparrow in the film was on hand. Following the special screening, Lemm and Feldman conducted a Question and Answer session before the mostly sold out theater. Everyone loved the film, with the only complaint being that viewers wished they'd been warned to bring tissues for this touching, family film.

On Saturday, August 1, 2015, "The Sparrows: Nesting" had a special screening at the 2nd Annual Gwinnett Center International Film Festival in Georgia. As part of the festival, the film earned three nominations for Best Feature Film- Fiction, Best Female Actor in a Feature Film- Terri Minton, and Best Male Actor in a Feature Film - James Duval. The film also garnered two Winning Awards for Best Female Actor in a Feature Film - Valenzia Algarin, and Best Direction in a Feature Film- Nancy Criss and Josh Hodgins.
