TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In the San Marco scene, Hornet brings out a hardback copy of Cornelia Funke's Inkheart. She carries a book as the gang walks in-line across the plaza (starting at 22:32) and sits in a fence to read it (at 24:00) while waiting when Scipio meets the Conte.

The film features various sound effects prominently used in the classic computer game StarCraft (1998).

Director Richard Claus cast Aaron Johnson as Prosper early in the production process and that Aaron showed dedication to the role, holding on through the long months assembling finance, able to fit in months work on HBO's "Rome" series under the direction of Micheal Apted, before joining the rest of the cast in Venice in mid September 2004. Although Aaron did not appear in "Rome" (which aired from 8/28/2005 to 3/25/2007), he did appear in the last three of six 2-hour episodes of the BBC adaptation of "Feather Boy" directed by Dermot Boyd all six of which aired in March and April, 2004.

Part of the exterior Venice scenes were actually filmed on a large set in Luxembourg.

Much of the film was shot on location in Venice.
