On November 11th 2012 (between Seasons 1 and 2), Josh Blaylock and Joanna Braddy, the show's two leads, got married.
Josh Blaylock has had video game experience before this show - he was also the voice of Jack Marston, the main character's son, in Red Dead Redemption.
Freddie Wong (who plays himself) and Jimmy Wong (who plays Ted Wong) are brothers in real life. In the show, Freddie Wong acts as Ted's father, and not his brother. Freddie Wong is Jimmy Wong's older brother in real life.
On one of the clipboards along the hallway in the dormitory set there is a list of rules which explains that among other things any substances for performance enhancements ( such as excessive caffeine) will be confiscated and either consumed by the staff or sold at a profit.
The VGHS motto, as seen on the schools logo throughout the show, is 'Dominaire, Certa, Perfice', which is Latin for "Rule, Fight, Perfect."
