TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In May of 2015, the movie was announced to be released in theaters in February 2016, but was later dropped from the schedule. It was released on video on demand (VOD) July 29, 2016.

In the science class, the descriptions of parasites Toxoplasma gondii and botfly are true, not just made up to support the story.

The film was released just two days after directors Joost and Schulman's previous film, Nerve (2016).

The brief picture of the virus as seen on one of the newscasts is the same graphic used in the movie Outbreak (1995) to represent the Motaba Virus, using a red color tint rather than blue. However, the fictional Motaba Virus looks very similar to the Ebola Virus.
