TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Filmed back-to-back with the second part of the trilogy.

Lara Jean mentions that New York City has a big selection of romantic movies and mentions "Serendipity"--in which John Corbett (Lara Jean's dad) played Lars Hammond.

Included in Lara Jean's notebook of movie titles is X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). Lana Condor, who plays Lara Jean, also starred in "X-Men Apocalypse" as Jubilee. Another movie on the list is "Charlie's Angels." Noah Centineo (Peter) was in the most recent iteration that came out in 2019. Another movie is Shazam! (2019), in which Ross Butler (Trevor) plays Super Hero Eugene. The last movie is Doctor Sleep (2019), in which Henry Thomas (Mr. Kavinsky) is Jack Torrance, reprising the role of Jack Nicholson in The Shining (1980).

This movie was filmed in three different countries: Canada, Korea, and the United States. Most of the movie was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, but the scenes of the Covey family visiting Korea were actually filmed in Korea. The scenes of the senior class' trip to New York City were filmed in New York City.

On their school trip in New York, Chris remarks that all of the places that they're visiting are very capitalistic places and they should really be visiting the historic punk-rock temple CBGB. This venue closed in October 2005 and is now occupied by John Varvatos Fashion.

"Lara Jean: Life is beautiful, and messy, and never goes according to plan. I do know that love, real love, is choosing each other through all of it, every single day. Beginning and middle and end."
