Singer Kailash Kher became famous overnight with his "Allah ke bande" song, OST for this movie. Another unknown singer who sang for this OST and later went on become famous is Rabbi Shergill (of "Bulla Ki Jaana" fame). Rabbi sang the opening track "Laundiya ke pallu se".

Though the movie is called "Part II", Parts I & III are in the same movie too! It is not a sequel.

In the credits, the film-makers acknowledge the Coen Brothers as an inspiration.

The film was first titled " Manohar Kahaniyan".

Arshad Warsi made a comeback after a long gap as a solo hero, the film released a month before Munnabhai MBBS which changed things overnight.
