When Life Gives You Tangerines is releasing four episodes per week, with new episodes dropping until March 28, 2025. Director Kim Won-seok chose this format to let viewers savor each moment instead of binge-watching all 16 episodes at once.
The drama was originally titled "You Have Done Well" before being renamed "When Life Gives You Tangerines," symbolizing Jeju Island's famous citrus groves.
When Life Gives You Tangerines marks IU's return to television after six years, following her critically acclaimed 2019 drama Hotel Del Luna, which remains one of the highest-rated Korean cable dramas.
