On the back of the VHS box there is a warning notice that states: "This Motion Picture is not a sequel to Witchboard."
All of the dialogue and sound effects had to be re-recorded in post-production because of a mix-up with the live sound recording during the shooting of the film.
Linnea Quigley didn't have to audition for her role.
Written and filmed as The Haunted. The title was changed by the producers in hopes that audiences would assume it was a sequel to the successful Witchboard (1986), Kevin S. Tenney's previous film.
Judy Tatum was a few months pregnant when she acted in this film.
