It is the intriguing and challenging tale of a refugee who navigates through all the struggles of lives in the attempts of seeking an identity of himself and the answers to his life.
"Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir" explores a rarely portrayed subject—the struggles and identity crisis faced by refugees. Vijay Sethupathi delivers a commendable performance as Punithan, a man in search of his dreams while concealing his true identity. The film sheds light on the challenges and hardships faced by refugees and their relentless pursuit of finding a place in society. The noble intentions of the filmmaker to bring attention to this pertinent issue deserve appreciation. However, the execution of the film falls short of expectations. The pacing feels uneven, and certain aspects of the narrative could have been better developed. Despite these shortcomings, the performances, particularly by Vijay Sethupathi and Megha Akash, provide emotional depth to their respective characters. The music, composed by Nivas K. Prasanna, adds a poignant touch to the storytelling. "Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir" serves as a thought-provoking film that raises important questions about identity, dreams, and the human spirit. Although it may not reach its full potential, it still manages to offer a meaningful cinematic experience.
