just the thing!

This camera really does pack a punch. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: • 18x optical zoom is an absolute bliss • the image quality is actually very good for an entry-level camera. I mean, if you're not looking for a professional quality dslr camera, you're really gonna like this. Its not just good for point and shoot images, but it also gives you a lot of control. It has a myriad of various preset modes for quick adaptation to various scenes and light conditions. Additionally it also has the manual and semi-manual modes that you're just gonna love • the video quality is sweet and never fails to reproduce the crisp real life in HD, and yes, it does have optical zoom in video mode. • the build quality is good and sturdy • the focus is good (and thanks for the super-macro mode fujifilm) • the electronic viewfinder is also just the thing to be included in it. Really helps in long distance shots and in bright surroundings Cons: • a real battery hogger, especially if you use the flash. Make sure you are using high power AA batteries with it and always keep an extra set with you. Having rechargeable AA batteries help And finally, thank you Flipkart for such an awesome service. Got my order in Guwahati, Assam in three days, including a sunday! Keep doing the good work. Thumbs up for you guys!

Go ahead and hurt your self

I used it for a day, and it sucks. My Nikon Coolpix 4 has better picture quality. what I am unsatisfied about? 1. Feels cheap. 2. No automatic lens cover. 3. No automatic flash. you have to press button even in sr-auto mode. 4. There is no view finder; the one you can see in photographs is cheap LCD trick. 5. Rather slow than functional. 6. not heavy but unnecessary bulk. 7. It's software sucks. 8. clicks nice photos in night with flash, but a. If light is dim, and you don't want to use flash, it craps. b. If light is dim, and you want to use flash, but object is rather away, it craps. 9. Nothing is really good about it. If it's your first camera, know this "there are better ones in the market" The whole BRIDGE thing is sham. What's worse, FlipKart won't replace it with some other genuine product. This is my second FujiFilm camera, and last one too. good riddance FujiFilm. Ohter better choices are : Canon PowerShot SX150 IS Point & Shoot and Nikon Coolpix S6200 Point & Shoot

Excellent camera and a terrific delivery by flipkart

First things first, i have to thank filpkart for the speedy delivery of my consignment(fujifilm finepix s2950). Got this under 35 hours from the time of placing the order. Great packing and flipkart people delivered it to me. Thanks for that ! Just received my camera and i ve already taken 200pics. Now, this camera is an EXCELLENT option for someone who wants to shoot in manual mode. With a price tag of 9325INR this one is a great catch. Shoots great pictures all the time. If you're thinking of buying point&shoots, think again and stretch your budget a little and you have a cool Bridge camera in your hands that gives you a complete(not complete though) control over the shots. Take a look at reviews from sites that clearly explain the camera and then go for it. Trust me, you will never regret for having stretched your budget.

I was bit worried for paying 10000 INR for any product which I have not ever seen physically and just have read about. I took 2 weeks to decide what to buy and how to buy. And when I decided that I will buy it from Flipkart, came the most important part what to buy...I made more than 5 calls to the sales department of flipkart just to seek their advice which camera to buy. And finally I ended up buying this one. And believe me guys am not happy buying this...am very happy...in fact very very happy. A value for my money. I am not a photographer , all I know is how to focus the object and zoom in for object placed far and use of flash in low light region. And believe the manual came along with camera taught me more than what i expected. It taught me how to capture a movie object, differences between shutter speed, focal length. Picture quality ? Do i really need to talk about it ? Of course it brilliant. And Zoom is also good ( unless you are paying for 18X and expect 30x ) In one sentence if you are ready paying upto 7 - 7.5k and any camera , I will suggest wait for a month add up 2.5k more to your budget and buy this one. You will not repent and neither will curse me.

Only for Timepass

I have bought the camera and have been using it for more than a month now. Pros: - The price is really unbeatable. - The camera is sturdy and feels handy. - Really good HD video recording, the quality of the video is awesome. You can do 18X zoom unlike some other review here. My memory card allows me to record a 10 min video at a stretch. - Full light photos and photos with flash are good. - Battery life is good. I use Sony rechargeables and they last for at least a day with lot of photos and videos. Cons: - low light photography is not even substandard. It feels like a mobile 2 MP cam after seeing the flash less low light photos. - The LCD display is bad, does not show photos in true color. - The in-built software to zoom is slow. It's really time taking to check a proper focus. - The image stabilization is poor. Either it's too much, so much that in video it keeps doing autofocus every other second. Or, it's too less, so less that even a minute shake of finger ruins the photo. - The manual mode sucks. There is no preview in the manual mode, you have to actually click to know how it looks with a particular aperture/shutter speed/filters. - The electronic View finder is no good either. It produces so bad images that I have stopped using it altogether. - There are many modes but the SR-auto mode works well for most scenes. Over all, a good camera for those who just want to have an all-purpose digicam without much enthu to learn photography. One important qn: Why did I buy this? I lost my Canon SX 10 and was compelled to buy this due to budget constraint. Flipkart was simply awesome, they did special arrangements to make sure I get the camera before an important day of my life. Thank you FLIPKART!! But,no thanks Fuji!
