Krafton is all set to bring Marvel’s Spider-Man to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) in a major collaboration as part of the upcoming 4.5 update. This collaboration coincides with the upcoming theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, bringing Spider-Man-themed elements, locations, and weapons to BGMI. This isn’t the first time a Marvel character is making its debut in the game, as just a few years back, Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis, Venom, was introduced for a limited time.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day collaboration in BGMI will run from July 30th to September 14th as part of the version 4.5 update. This completely aligns with the movie’s theatrical release date of July 30th in India. Players can expect the update to land on the App Store and Play Store a few days before the mentioned dates.
Just like every major collaboration or special event, the Erangel map will be transformed to feature Spider-Man-inspired elements. These include Skyline Plaza, a new high-rise district replacing traditional combat zones like Gatka and Mansion, while many locations will see the addition of rooftop platforms, elevated walkways, and fast traversal routes designed around a single idea. Skyline Ziplines will be introduced across the urban zone to let players move swiftly between rooftops and aid them in combat.
One of the major highlights of the collaboration is that players will be able to use Spider-Man-inspired abilities to get an edge over their opponents. Peter Parker’s Gloves will allow players to swing between buildings in a fast-paced manner, while Web Attack will allow them to shoot webs.
Then there’s Peter Parker’s Hoodie, which increases the agility and awareness of the players’ character, while offering them the ability to climb buildings and vertical surfaces. Spider-Man’s iconic Spider Sense move is also coming to the game to detect enemy movements through footprints and tracking indicators.
The update also adds several immersive Spider-Man-inspired experiences, such as:
The collaboration also brings a dedicated experience to WOW Mode, a narrative-driven, non-battle-royale space where players can freely swing across the city, complete Spider-Man missions, tackle rooftop parkour challenges, and earn rewards. This expands BGMI beyond pure combat into a fun, explorable playground.
