Overall: I got the HP Laptop on time but the screen had a crack near the webcam due to which the screen showed continuous line. Now HP is going to replace the screen but not the laptop with is very sad as a new laptop with this issues gives bad impression abo...

Verdict
The 14-inch notebook is true money worthy device for the users who require light use like surfing the web, watch movies or webcam chat. However, the mediocre battery and no optical drive makes it fall behind competing laptops from vendors like Lenovo or Acer. Still the multimedia opportunities and easy controls makes it a desirable machine.

Display and Design 

HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-B049TU is a 14 inch HD Brightview LED Backlit display laptop with 1366 x 768 pixels display resolution. It is 21.1mm thick and weighs only 1.8Kg. It comes in Imprint sparkling black body and has full-size island-style keyboard and touchpad with multi-gesture support and on/off button.  

Processor and OS

HP Pavilion Sleekbook operates on Windows 8 (64 bit) operating system. It is powered by 1.4GHz Intel Core i3 2nd Gen 2367M processor with Intel HM77 Express chipset. It comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM which could be expanded to 8GB via memory slots. And, the laptop comes with Intel HD 3000 graphics processor. 

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The HP laptop features a HP TrueVision webcam for wonderful video chat and also to take good webcam photos. It's physical storage unit is in the form of 500GB SATA hard drive disk (HDD).
