Thanks so much, Krishna - you saved my day.nnSome points to remember for Windows 7:nnThe HP customer care (1800 11 22 67) is very responsive. Please call them if you have any questions. They were the ones who first alerted me that I should use a 64-bit OS.nn- If you are installing Windows 7, please ensure that you install the 64-bit version, not the 32-bit one. That's because HP drivers for this machine are available only in 64-bit. You cannot download a 64-bit driver on a 32-bit OS. What I did was use the Windows USB/DVD Download tool to make my pen drive into a bootable OS (that contains the ISO you downloaded)nn- If you find that you have the 32-bit original DVD, you can download the 64-bit ISO (Windows 7 installables) online (just do a google search). You can use the same product key that came with the 32-bit version.nn- As Krishna Das states in his review, please search for 15-AC047TU drivers. They work for this machine as well. This is where I think HP was sloppy to push this machine out in the market without updating their drivers page.nn- There are many drivers listed in the drivers page. You only need drivers for bios, audio, chipset, and graphics. Please ensure that you install the BIOS drivers FIRST. You must update your BIOS first before installing any other driver.
this is a very good budget laptop , works very good without any lag , those who finds any difficult in finding WINDOWS 7 DRIVERS can download the drivers of 15-AC047TU (this model has a same hardware), feels that ubuntu is a bit challenging, overall nice mechine
I own HP pavilion E15 notebook. Here are the issues for which i regret buying HP and strongly recommend against buying HP laptops or notebooksnn1. Parts Availability: i have been try to replace my dead battery. the customer care have no clue about the availability of it. Each one asks to contact some other person and this goes on and on. even after 15 days of raising the issue no info is available about price and availability.nn2. Fraud Service Centers: once the laptop is out of warranty, for anything they as to visit the authorized service center( some jabil services) nay it be for parts buying or hardware issue or anything. the service center person ask to keep the laptop with them for over 2 days irrespective of the issues, probably the idea is to temper your laptop further It is evident that the bunch have been given a free hand i exploiting customers once they are out of warranty by HP or some corrupt dealing by HP official.nn3.Windows: the windows that came with the laptop is technically owned by the customer. and should have all right over it and its installation drivers. yet HP is asking for over 900 rupees for the windows drivers( most of the other companies give for free). they do not even give the product key of the licence which the customer own, and should be available to customers via laptop makes as said by Microsoft when asked, thus trapping and force out more money from customers.nn4. Worst service EVER: irrespective of the issues raised and questions asked. the customer care chap will have a reply saying call customer care and some other no. the worst part is that even are repeating the queries and escalating it to team leader , they still have audacity to reply with same copy paste default reply. A total apathy towards customer and no scene of responsibility. and after completely incompetent replies and response and unprofessional behavior they lecture on professionalism for calling out their unethical and idiotic behavior. nnWELL ITS NO ALL TOO BAD. that of-course, if you are an employee of HP. guys like nehal surana and rahamatullah shaikh earn free livelihood by not doing any work and just copy pasting same default replies. NO WONDER HP HAVE TO EXPLOIT CUSTOMERS, they have to pay such in competent and utterly useless bunch of chaps that add no value to the service. nnThank You HP for providing livelihood for a bunch of good-for-nothing indian citizens.nnAs for Buyer, stay way from this completely unethical an unprofessional company. you will find much better products and service for many other companies.

After install windows 8.1 and all drivers, the lap placed in approx 30cm distance with wifi modem. But the wifi range is 2 or 3. No problem for other laptops and mobiles. My Wifi adapter was not working properly.
