I have owned several laptops in the past. This is the worst laptop when it comes to performance. I just wanted to buy an inexpensive laptop mainly for browsing etc. But even that basic functionality does not work properly. It is extremely slow and pathetic. 2 GB RAM for Windows 8.1 is useless. I wanted to upgrade and there is only 1 slot, so you have to discard the existing 2 GB. And 4 GB costs additional Rs 4000 as we have to replace only with HP RAM and other brand like Transcend did not work (Rs 2500). I do not know why HP even came up with this laptop as 2GB with Windows 8.1 is very poor. I will never buy HP product anymore. My previous HP computer too had display and overheating issues.
Bought it after seeing that it comes with Windows 8.1 preinstalled (the only note worthy feature of this Laptop). Otherwise the laptop is slow like a snail when you open more than two softwares (now apps) simultaneously. If you need a laptop just for browsing, opening and editing docs, downloading and watching movies, then this laptop would suit your purpose, else if you want to run some heavy softwares like AutoCAD or games then go for a laptop with a higher processor and RAM.
It's been a nightmare since buying this laptop. 1. The build is pathetic at best. You have applaud HP to have found such cheap plastic 2. The keys are so flimsy and I'm sure it'll not last 6 months 3. I had wanted to dual-install Ubuntu and you can't find many drivers for this hardware 4. Result is I ended up re-installing Windows 8.1 and it's so so slow 5. I don't know why HP would sell 2GB model with Windows 8.1 as it hardly works
confused after purchasing and going through review. Though I purchased only for normal browsing,emails,skype ,facebook, watching & downloading movies, hopeI don't feel cheated It was purchasedmainly due to HP brand and hopeI don't loose faith in HP,
this laptop is very good, my frnd purchase this lappy & the laptop work properly. this laptop more awesome than apple i am very happy to use this laptop
