After a couple days of use, i have grown really fond of this laptop. The Good 1. Basically the best laptop that rocks the intel core i5 5th generation processor. 2. The laptop is really robust and it has a premium finish. 3. The keyboard is nice, the keys are really clicky. 4. Hp's support assistant is really helpful. you can put a clean image of windows on your pc whenever you wish. The Bad 1. the Speakers are beats audio !! NOT really as impressive as it sounds. My expectations were probably really high. 2. the track pad is just depressing !!! the right and left clicks make it sink all they way in!! 3. The laptop comes with a lot of bloatware which affects performance.(Hp recovery can fix that just browse and click your preferred option.. windows can even be clean installed) Cant Complain Or Criticize 1. the screen.. 720p ... its just average .. viewing angles are good but the image output is not really crisp. 2. the battery just gives you about 4 hours or less depending on your usage. 3. 4gb ram may seem like little but its sufficient. Haven't really had a chance to test the graphics.. but Nvidia Geforce 830M sure its awesome!! overall this laptop is great (comparatively). handles what ever you throw at it. i would definitely recommend this laptop. as there isn't anything better than this in the range. you just about get what you pay for.
flipkart delivery time- 2 days features are same as displayed color interior black, exterior grey. No problem in cleaning dirt. can play any game, or software like autocad, matlab and solid works. Indeed there is difference in speed in 4th and 5th gen. There is one confusion though, in "my computer" when u click properties it shows clock speed 2.2ghz only, no specifcations of turbo boost is mentioned (whereas in 4th gen its specifies turbo boost).. but when i play games or run heavy software it shows in task manager clock speed greater than 2.2ghz.. so I guess there is turbo boost!! I don't find beats audio that great (Only for name), quality is good but when played in vlc player full sound i.e. 200%, sound seems to crack.. touchpad is avg.. ** No lag in performance ** Battery lasts 3-4hrs using internet, 5-6hrs(when reading documents or just browsing the computer) and 3hrs while playing games, battery life is improved. ** 4 GB RAM is enough ** HP on-site warranty. I got full 1 year warranty(some claims that they get less than 1 year) ** Keyboard is good. ** No heating issues. weight of laptop is less. ** Web cam is pretty good, no backlit for keyboard(no problem for me) and everything is ready packed no need to install any drivers. ** I got offer in dropbox 25GB space for 6 months, and HP simple pass(see in internet) STILL a 5 star, cause I like it..
Flipkart review: ------------------------ 1) First I got a defective piece on 4 Feb in a horrible packaging, I requested for a replacement on 4 Feb itself, approval process took a lot of time and it got approved on 6 Feb. (Amazon India has a better return policy, on a single call they approved return and without receiving product they refunded money also, I got money in my account before they received returned product). Later on Flipkart has sent me a new piece of product. This piece was also defected, touchpad slate was not on its place. I placed touchpad on panel and pushed it, it got stitched. Now it's working. 2) Both the time laptop was delivered to me on a 2 wheeler. The delivery person has to drive and hold this big box and a big parcels bag at the same time. He is keeping this laptop box in front and bag behind him. Laptop box might get dropped somewhere while he is handling the bike. Depending on the package condition, I have a strong feeling that the first laptop delivered to me was dropped somewhere or hasn't been taken care properly while in transit or packed horribly by the seller WS retail. 3) The updated invoice sent to my mailbox (after completing replacement) is having wrong detail. The serial number of the received laptop is not matching with the serial number given in invoice. Product review: ------------------------- Missing specification: ---------------------------------- It's a natural silver colored laptop, build of plastic. Pros: ---------- *) It's configuration(I guess no need to write all configuration here) *) Look and feel (design) *) Superb sound quality Cons: ---------- *) Build is not so good. This is third pavilion series laptop which I'm gonna to use, and in last 2 laptops I found issues with screen and screen frame. Don't forget to check your new laptop for this particular defect. You might see a big gap between screen and screen holder(frame). Usually this defect is not easily noticeable because of screen light( when laptop is switched on), you will have to look closely. *) Trackpad(touchpad) is not very responsive. Sometimes it doesn't respond. Final remark: -------------------- My recommendation is, just to save few bucks don't purchase bigger and/or very costly item from online stores. Go to the store near by your place, check the product properly and buy one. Thanks :)
After much research I decided to buy this model of HP Pavilion as it had all the configuration I wanted in my budget, and I must say my choice was not wrong. This IS the best all round laptop u can buy right now below 50k. Whether u need it for multimedia or casual gaming or for office work, this one checks all the right boxes. nPros – 1. Build Quality and looks are just awesome. The material used for the casing and overall build gives u a premium look.n2. Performance is above par as compared to other laptops from Asus, Lenovo, and Dell in this range. I can run up to 6 tabs on Chrome without any lag and can edit, convert videos in couple of minutes. Fifth generation processor family from Intel are big advantage.n3. Gaming is where the machine shines most as I was able to play all the games I tested on high settings with all the important parameters like Anti-Aliasing, V-Sync, PhysX, Dynamic Lighting etc. turned on. NVidia GT830M is the best u can get right now as it implements the new Maxwell architecture in a budget friendly chip. Details of the games frame rates are as follows.nGTA-V – Medium Settings – 35-50 FPSnFar Cry 4 – High Settings – 35-40 FPSn Medium Settings – 45-55 FPSnNFS Rivals – High settings – above 50 FPSnCall of Duty Ghosts – Medium Settings – 45 FPSnBattlefield 4 – Medium Settings – 40-45 FPSnn4. Sound Quality is above average though speaker volume is bit low. Beats Audio is only for headphones and I tested it with HTC Beats Audio Headphones and found the sound quality to be pretty great.n5. Screen is also good but somewhat reflective and anti-glare is not used efficiently but the brightness is very much sufficient.n6. Touchpad is awesome and is the most accurate and easy to use touchpad I have found on laptops. Windows 8 is very easy to use thanks to great gesture support.n7. Battery life is good also, on low to moderate usage it lasted for about 3.5 Hours and on heavy gaming it lasted for 2 hours which is what u are getting in any laptops now days.nCons - 1. One negligible issue I found is that the DVD burner makes somewhat annoying noise when copying data from DVD or burning DVDs.n 2. The keyboard keys are soft and don’t have much travel.nnOther than these two cons and some minor issues this particular model from HP is the best u can get right now. It has one more RAM slot in which u can insert another 12 GB of RAM to increase the performance. Great product from HP.
First of all I got this laptop at a bargain price of 42k when it was retailing for about 47k. Pros : 5th gen i5 processor nvidia 830m (quite decent just 10-15% slower than 840m ) doesn't heat up at all. great battery life. 5 hours wifi net browsing. 3 hrs movie watching. looks great. cons : no backlit keyboard touchpad is average beats audio disappointing. felt that the sccreen is less saturated but that's ok for a budget laptop.
