Went for it since Lenovo didnt have 5th gen laptops.... This is a beast at this price!! specs are good and so is the performance..Build Quality is great!!...but it tends to get slow sometimes... like when copying 300gb from my external hdd...thats normal i think... color options would have been nice as the white gets dirty easily.. get a skin for it.... being a college student i find it a good machine.. haven't installed many games... just Rivals & Most Wanted 2... Rivals crashes which is a crack problem... MW2 plays at high settings smoothly.. will update the review after installing Advanced Warfare n all... GO FOR IT FOLKS!!! better than DELL which offers GT 820m in their shits!
received yesterday after I open the laptop and start start up within 5 mins blue screen error comes and it continue through out the process.then call hp customer care they said HDD OR RAM or motherboard issue and its like manufacturing defect so I should get replacement from flip kart cause within 14 days if anything happen hp also replace the same . Placed replacement or refund request right now . Feeling very tensed now . Its my very very hard earned money .
I was desperately looking for a mid range lappy satisfying my Programming + gaming needs. HP Pavilion 15-pt206tx perfectly suit my needs. Corei5 5 Gen + 8 gig RAM + 2 GB NVedia, more than enough for my needs. It comes with Windows 8.1 Pre loaded, which I removed the moment I open the laptop and loaded with Windows7 and linux.. It appears to be difficult to obtain Windows7 drivers and that is the only drawback I observed till date. My ratings 4/5
i was waiting to write a review once i had got it all cleared,, keeping it simple ,, let me compare this product with the others products i have used ,, first laptop i buyed for my brother was dell's vostro with 4 gb ram i3 process, intel hd grafix, i used that laptop for about 3 months and broke down its key board , seriously , i had not used it hard, the performance of dell laptops is awesome , no doubt in that , then i moved on to hp laptop ,hp r series laptop with all over same configeration but in addition a 2gb grafix card ,, and i found no difference in performance with 2g grafix card , but the difference was in built in quality , finally after going through many reviews from youtube and many other resource decided to go on with hp pavillion series ,, be carefull when you buy laptops , there are laptops with i7 processors in 44k range then why to buy i5 processor in 50k ,, the difference is in generation , hp pavillion p 206 comes with 5th gen processors which are the latest in the market and performs better than the privious generations , also the grafix card the nvidia gt830m is so powerfull that it can run any game with hd quality without any lags ,,the only issue is heating ,but folks , there no such laptop that dose not heat when you play heavy games , this laptop dose become hot but no problem ,when you play very heavy games and if does become hot then its smartsence technology automatically deactivates the programm which you can start again if you desire to continue after 10 to 15 mins, the battery backup is great if you are not playing games ,otherwise whatching movies dose not drain much of the battery ,the beats audio is awesome ,for a laptop you normally connect loudspeakers but this one comes with beats audio you can enjoy watching movie even in crowd , looks are sexy, keys in the keyboard are spaced verywell, its a full chiclet keyboard. its worth for money .
product design is same as all other pvillion series windows 8.1 was lagging like hell performance was average graphics too was not that great there are many bettter laptops at this price range not recommended
