As far as the first few days are concerned, this laptop is amazing! Pros: 1. HP ENVY at 41 k 2. Very Sleek 3. Radeon 2GB graphics card ( I mean, what more can you ask) 4. 3rd Gen i5 processor with a boost to 2.6 gHz 5. LED screen (Does not go all black and white when viewed from the side) 6. Imagepad. I don't know what Cnet has against it. I think it's absolutely amazing 7. Beats Audio 8. Strong battery life Cons 1. No CD/DVD drive. But that doesn't matter as I use my old DVD drive and connect it through one of the parallel ports 2. No backlit keyboard 3. Battery non removable. Don't know what i'll do if this thing hangs. 4. Windows 7 HB. But for those like me who puked upon seeing the Metro UI, you'll find this a relief.
These are my first thoughts after using this laptop for a day. Pros ------- 1. Has enough juice to get your job done 2. Thin and Light 3. Decent Keyboard and touchpad 4. Good Battery backup ~ 4.5 hours 5. Audio quality is great Cons (these are very minor issues) ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Win 7 home Basic installed by default 2. Recovery and HP tools have separate partitions and hence you cannot create a separate data partition 3. No Backlight Keyboard 4. No CD/DVD drive Overall, this is a great product. I will update this review as I spend more time with this laptop.
