I bought this product from a local dealer as it was not in stock on flipkart and I got it in about a thousand bucks less with some hp accessories. When I opened the bundle and got to using it, I can say that it was a totally different experience altogether than using any other laptop. It was stylish, lighter, slimmer. Everyone around me appreciated it. The battery backup is coming out to be good, the booting, shutting and resuming windows is pretty fast. The keyboard is very comfortable to type with.nThe only things which are setting my mood off are that it doesn't have a backlit keyboard and the default operating system provided is just windows 7 home basic. I feel it should be atleast home premium, if not ultimate. Rest all seems fine. The graphic card seems good for light games, the heavy ones are remaining to be tried by me.nReally a value for money i must say :)
I've purchased this model ultrabook on 03rd November 2012 and upgraded it to windows 8 on 27th November 2012. In 48 hours it started to fall apart. By 29th Nov evening it stopped working completely.nnNow starts the real trouble - I've given a call on costumer care and they have sent some service engineer the next day. Engineers are totally ill prepared. It's funny and disgusting that HP sells ultrabooks without optical disc drive and it's engineers can't work and solve issues without one. I'm pretty sure that the engineer was himself a person who never knew about the systems. He tried his hands on my system and after more than 2 hrs struggle told me that the system is fine and restored it back to Windows 7. Suggested I update it again to Win8. In 36 hrs from that point, the system collapsed again
I purchased this from HP world as it was not listed in flipkart...service wise flipkart is the best. At flipkart, shipment of the product is very quick and it's always in delivered with a good packaging :). nnAs far as specification of Envy 4-1002TX is concern...it's quite good but at the same time the price is simply too high in india....same envy series with backlit keyboard and better specification in US is priced around(650 - 750$) 35000 - 39000 indian rupees. After using it for more than 1 week...below are my observationnnProsnExpandable memory is 16GB which is really good for virtualizationnThe dedicated graphics is 2GB...good for gamingnnConsncostlynHarddisk is making noise like old day laptop though it's a SATA 6GB/s. Biggest problem is, the hard disk is a 7mm thin and the max capacity is 500 GB...there is no way to upgrade it to higher size as currently 500 GB is max capacity available for 7 mm thin hard disk.nBattery back up is around 3 hours in normal operationnLook is ok....not that great with what price HP is chargingnnSo in overall...i would say as far as price is concern it's a good idea to check similar model from apple or samsung before making any quick decision to pay this much amount for a laptop.nnPlease only consider certified buyer's feedback...looks like some sales persons are creating fake id's and giving positive feedback...even though the product does deserve it.nnThank you and happy shopping :)
I have bought this laptop after doing a extensive research .,.,. this one is perfect. Pros 1 light weight 2 SSD cache which makes login,rebooting, wake up from sleep etc faster than other laptops. 3 Sexy look 4 Gamming laptop nd tat also in ultrabook.,.awesome.,. Cons 1 VGA port is not thr.,.,but dont worry u wont need 2 Backlit keyboard would have been better.,.,but its thr in us version of this laptop.,. but i dont knw y they didnt give in indian version Overall its feels great to have such a powerfull device in ultrabook form.,.,. i would recommend to go for extra warrenty if possible.,.,since it has 2GB graphics card u will definitely go for big big games.,.,so if any prob happens in future u will have extended warrenty at tat time.,.,.,.,
i purchased this product nearly a year back on 9 september 2012, in 55k before going to my college for my first year i used it only for gaming i played games like bf3,crysis3,fifa,nfs2012 etc , the graphics were great but there was only a little lag sometimes so for gaming i give it 3.5/5 i my second year i used it for programming so i dual booted it with ubuntu13.04 the only problem i faced was the heating problem which is a ubuntu kernal problem but my lapi performed awesomely(in comparison to my dell xps) redard less of kernal problem so i am giving it 5/5 i am giving point wise detailes below: 1.battery:-4-3 hours(gaming,movies),6 hours(for internet browsing),2hours(ubuntu.13.04) 2.graphics:-2gb redon hd 7670 is quite old now so 3.5/5 3.heating:never gets heated for general purpose,during gaming gets heated in a hour so 5/5 4.sound/display:beats audio( name is enough),display is paper led which is not good as retina display(samsung and apple are providing) so 5/5 for audio,4/5 doe display 5.weight: 1.7kg wow 1.7 kg in just 55k great, so 5/5 6.processor: i5,1.7ghz nice for a college student but for a professional 1.7 is quit older now overall this is the best choice i have ever made i have used apple, dell but this is far good than xps,macbook
