The HP Elitebook 820 G1 (G2F73PA) carries an amazing 12.5-inch HD LED backlit display which provides rich and razor sharp visual experience with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The Anti Glare matte coating on the top of the screen makes it good for working continuously for long hours without straining your eyes.
The main intriguing part in the device is its ultra light body which has a weight of just 1.3kg. A thickness of merely 21mm makes it the perfect mobile computer to carry around. The lid carries a soft black color which is fingerprint and scratch repellent. The inside is coated with a glossy silver finish though.
Processor and OS
Under the hood, it is equipped with an advanced 4th generation Intel Core i5 processor sprinting at 2.1GHz and sitting on HM86 Express chipset. It is supported by a nominal 4GB DDR3 RAM which is slightly disappointing considering its price. You can of course expand it to 16GB for better performance. Rich graphics is handled by the inbuilt Intel HD 4400 GPU. It runs on 64 bit Windows 8 Professional OS.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The HP Elitebook 820 G1 (G2F73PA) flaunts a HP TrueVision HD webcam with dual array microphone. For storage purposes, it houses a 500GB SATA HDD operating at 7200 rpm which enables you to retrieve files faster. And if you want to open files at lightning fast speeds, store them in the 32GB SSD memory.
The spill resistant and drain enabled keyboard lets you work peacefully along with the gesture supported touchpad. It has a fingerprint scanner as well. The DTS Studio Sound powered speakers score well in terms of loud and rich audio.
Battery and Connectivity
With a 3 cell Li-ion battery, the HP Elitebook 820 G1 (G2F73PA) is capable of providing up to 11.5 hours of uninterrupted service. Connectivity features include WLAN, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 3.0 slots, digital media reader and VGA port.
