Since I also have a HP Mini 110, I tend to compare HP Pavilion DM1-4014TU with that, though DM1 is higher in performance. The only thing that has disappointed me in DM1 is the build quality. The body does not 'feel' as robust as the HP Mini 110, including the hinge, body, keyboard. Key strokes in DM1 are also slightly flimsy, unlike the Mini which has very nice and firm key stroke, the way I like it. Other than that, DM1 is a great machine (in its category). The fan hardly needs to work (i3-2367M is a ultra low voltage processor), and battery life is excellent with my power options of 3 minutes dim display and 5 minutes display off. One more noticeable difference between my Mini and DM1 is that the DM1 has a glossy screen. Though it looks classy in its own way, matt finish screens have excellent viewing with no reflections. But it doesn't affect me so much in DM1, since I do not work in glaring lights. Because build quality matters a lot to me, I rate this product 3.5 (but I can only choose full numbers, so choosing 4). Except fot that, it would have been an absolute 5! This was my first buy from Flipkart, and the service was excellent, had absolutely no hassles, got machine well within stipulated timelines. I may have been one of the last customers to buy the product at a great price before it went out of stock!
HP is not that great on Battery life and cooling system! But this laptop proves that HP got something to say. I bought this laptop from flipcart almost 4 months ago and received on 3 days. Pros, - Battery life is great. You can get easy 5 hours back up with Wireless and a continuous works on laptop! - Very light! It's a super Ultraportable notebook - Great chiclet keyboard. - Good touchpad. - Good performance due to its core i3 cpu. For apps such as Ms-Office, Adobe products. Cons, - LID is very sensitive. You have to be careful not to lift the laptop by its lid as I did for few times and it's a bit loose now.
I dont think i could have asked for a better netbook at this price! The battery back up is amazing. Beats audio makes music sound so better! Its lightweight, i can happily carry it to college or for travelling. The HDMI port is an additional bonus, as the screen size doesnot matter anymore ; you can always connect it to your tv if you wanna watch any movie or sitcom. The only downside, is the built quality. But still, i would definitely say that under 30k, this is the best netbook.
Its an awesome cute little notebook. I am more than happy with the performance. Would recommend a buy to people looking for small and powerful notebooks. Flipkart delivered the product with in the promised timelines and configuration.
