A great product, packed with features ... bang for buck

Flipkart ... you are really kidding me with your delivery timings .. blazing fast .. like 4G speed .. kudos to you. Regarding the laptop, I haven't started using the laptop so I'll write about what I have observed so far. Pros : 1) AMD APU A4 with integrated Graphics processor 2) 4GB RAM. 3) 500G HDD space 4) Ample of connectivity ports (HDMI, VGA, LAN, SD card, Bluetooth v4.0, 3xUSBs etc..) 5) A very good and bright LED screen. 6) Last but not least Free DOS as OS, *** I don't have to pay extra 5-6K for Windows OS ***, I'll be installing Linux OS soon. Cons: 1) Only power button, no other physical buttons (volume +/-/mute, Wifi/Bluetooth control), but you have option of controlling these things with Fn buttons. Considering the price point I can live with that. Many people have bad opinion about AMD processors, but these days the processors from AMD are improved, they consume less power, and heat sinks are good. So no need to worry about heating issue, which I had personally observed on one of my friends Acer laptop. AMD is known for it's graphics processor(Radeon), you can play all the games very easily on this laptop specially if you are a gamer. My personal recommendation to all those who are on really some tight budget. I personally suggest DOS OS laptops, you can install OS which ever you like and save some money, get extra accessories with that money. I personally prefer Linux OS, the Linux distros came a long way, performance is good, takes less memory, boots super fast(9s boot time, I'm not kidding), and good GUIs too .. For a newbie I suggest to start with Ubuntu. Everything is great about this product .. 5 star rating from my side. My recommendation to all.

Good performance laptop at this price

Flipkart's delivery is remarkable. The item is delivered on time and in excellent packing to avoid damage. They really value the sentiments of the buyer. The quality and time both have been valued by Flipkart and hence one can trust upon it. About the laptop: 1. It is a 64 bit processor.Nowadays it's a must specially for programmers. 2. No other laptop can come in this price range if you desire for the specs mentioned in details. 3. Trust the AMD processors, they really have no issues.Processor is upto the mark.NFS Most Wanted 2005 runs smoothly, programming goes great. 4. If thinking about onboard graphics,AMD's have an ace over Intel.Use it and you will know it. 5. Battery backup is good.Goes for more than 3.5 hours for movies. 6. It's a DOS.No need to pay for extra cost of bundled windows license as seen in other cases.Either use a Linux or have Windows(Internet has many ways). 7. Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version with it.No problem.Boots up quickly and the performance is really fast. 8. Speakers quality is fine, clean and clear.Neither too loud nor too low.Use headphones and everything goes great. 9. The laptop is for those who have low budget, want to use internet, use excel sheet or other office chores, watch movies, listen music using headphones, etc. Moreover it is really handy. You can hold it in one hand. 10. You can't expect it to have extremely high specs at this price range. But whatever it has is great to use with no issues. If this is your budget you know what you can expect.Go for it and it will not disappoint you. Thanx Flipkart for your great service.

Confused to decide? Read this Its worth your money...

I bought this a month back(with my friend's account :P ) and i bought it for 22490/-. With all specifications provided here it also has 2GB graphics memory and 512MB for videos. -A value for money laptop which comes with such great specs. -Being AMD, yes it heat ups a bit but then it is the case with any other laptop. Use any support to keep your laptop and you are good to go. -It comes with DOS but simply make a bootable USB stick and install the OS you want or make a CD/DVD for OS. -After installing OS please don't rush for installing games or any other software. Better go to the official website of HP and search for this model. There you can go to downloads section and download all drivers I list below. 01. AMD graphics driver. 02. Broadcomm Bluetooth software 03. Essential Updates (for HP updates) 04. High Definition audio driver 05. HP application assistance software 06. HP BIOS update 07. HP Broadcom wirless LAN driver 08. HP connection manager (provides User Interface for bluetooth and wifi connections) 09. HP on - screen utility 10. HP power management 11. HP quick launch 12. HP software Framework 13. HP Support Assistant 14. HP youcam(for your webcam) 15. Realtek Card Reader Driver 16. Synaptics Touchpad Driver(for your touch pad) I know this list is lil long but trust me once you are done with this, you are great to go. :) Hope this helps you out. Don't just neglect this product due to drivers list. It fits ur pocket very well. :)

Good for Windows 7 but issues with Linux

For Windows only users, this a value for money product. Especially for basic computing line internet, videos etc. Having said that, I would like to point out few shortcomings: 1> Linux installation does not work. I have been trying to install Ubuntu(Linux) as the second OS in addition to Windows 7 but unsuccessful so far. Tried hard to resolve the issue with all kinds of tips suggested in Ubuntu forums but nothing seems to work. I don't see any hope. Looks to me like graphic drivers are not supporting the Ubuntu or Linux in general. 2> Poor ergonomics of the touch pad layout Most laptops come with touch pad positioned in-line with key buttons G & H on the keyboard, which is not in the centre but slightly towards left hand side. In many of HP models touch pad is in centrally positioned making it obstructing while typing. Your right hand will touch the key pad when you start typing making your cursor move erratically. This results in jumbled typing. It is a nightmare working on word processor. There is solution though, you can turn off the touch pad while typing by double clicking the top left corner of the touch pad :-) This ok when one is using additional mouse as a pointing device. what a mess if you don't use mouse but have to switch your touch pad on and off while typing. 3> CD/DVD drive is slow: reading from CD/DVD is very slow and also makes lot of noise. Well, this is my feedback from 1 month of usage.

Value for Money!!

Well among the similar price band, this Laptop is great value for money. Although, you do find 3rd Intel Pentium Dual Cores from Toshiba and Fujitsu in this price also. Toshiba - Brand has less reliability and i have heard horror stories about their products a lot. Fujitsu - Great brand and but after sales and support is monopolised with only redington as the option. Lenovo - has older hardware for the same price range. Plus Battery is a recurring problem with lenovos, which defeat the purpose of a laptop. There is no portability without a good battery life. The product is very very beautiful for this price - and i had SBI credit card rebates which effectively cost me about a 20K and a few hundreds. THe processor is not too powerful, but does not hint any sight of problem with basic use. The discrete graphics is better than integrated graphics of Intels - atleast lower end of the bands. Pros - 1) Beautiful, Light and small, 2) Speakers are good and screen too good. 3) 4Gb RAM and 500 HDD, 3 USBs (2.0), DVD Writer, Webcam, Card Reader, Lock Slot 4) Mouse lock (touch), Caps lock and Wifi buttons have small leds Thats plenty of features for such a price. Windows Experience Index is 4.3 with Windows 7 home premium. Cons - 1) TRS headphones work. TRRS (integrated mic) jacks have a problem with audios. 2) Build Quality is debatable - feels to me will break in one drop. 3) Speakers are right in front, where microphone jacks used to be in older laptops. 4) Does not come with Driver Cd - have to download and install yourself. But i am satisfied with the product and look forward to a long experience with it :-)
