i already had c850 toshiba which i bought for 20000bucks. that's the best of the best for rough use and high performance for a person like me. I bought this for my sister. Very decent. Good multitouch pad. very good cam and speakers. excellent performance. Easily installed windows 7 x64. Only problem was drivers. People dont be mislead. I had a very tough time finding drivers but most of them are available. most of them i downloaded from intel site . PCI driver was big time trouble. finally realtek saved me. It works. Finally done with all drivers. Very important that you have internet to search for drivers. contact me if you need help thru this post Pros : Sparkling good display great keypad to type good webcam and touchpad with multitouch lot more fun altec lansing speakers( decent if not g8 - low on volume - should look for external usb speakers for good movie watch) good battery life and build quality Cons: Drivers are a hell to get like many laptops being newly launched in market. I spent 3 days, but eventually got all drivers from intel and realtek sites. You'll have to spend quite sometime but you'll make it. Was the same story with my recent toshiba laptop. This wont matter once you're acquired drivers Speaker volume is low - was impressed at the showroom cause of the ambience but with my the fan noise at home i'll have to use earphones or externals till i buy an a.c :-) Verdict : Overall , good performance and looks for daily use and occasional gaming. But if are not interested in looks and just basic performance matters i'd suggest value for money toshiba C850. You'll never regret the decision. a 15000savings matters a lot
My budget was 37k and I was looking for a laptop with 3rd gen i5. I am not much of a gamer and a hardcore linux user. I chose this one with i5 and AMD A10 model as my two final picks. AMD had windows 8 and 2.5 gb graphic card. But since I am not much into gaming, I rarely use all the 4 cores. I needed a processor with better single core performance. AMD A8 and A10 are slighty better than i3. i5 still has the best CPU performance per core. So I picked this one and FK delivered it to me on march 23. It took a while to figure out how to install linux mint in free dos system. It has spaced out island style keyboard with number pad on the right. If you arent a windows user and dont want to pay for Windows 8, you can buy this one , instead of buying hp g6 2221TU model. P.S If you are into gaming I wud recommend the A10 model as it delivers better GPU performance.
Its my first laptop... It is more than what i expected in look... looking good, good design.. since i dont know about dos i faced difficulties in installing OS.. Later i gave it to local service people, they said since drivers are not available for this model ,we could install only windows 8 OS... So far its working good... good audio system, good display... Good service from FK.. thanks... if you want to inquire anything regarding this lap, ask me.. :-)
Laptop is good but poor customer service of HP in Kolkata brings down its rating. Otherwise a good product with robustness.
Its a great product with great configurations. I have installed windows 8 on it and it works very smooth and fast. I bought this one because of reliability of HP and its multi-gesture support touchpad, which I find very useful for operating win8 and reading books and webpages. i5 makes it very fast and I haven't got any complain with speed. And finally its LED display is awesome.
