Computex 2026: HP Debuts RTX Spark PCs for AI creators, developers and gamers

The RTX Spark platform brings NVIDIA’s full-stack AI capabilities to slim laptops with all-day battery life. HP will first add RTX Spark to the HP OmniBook Ultra 16 and HP OmniBook X 14 later this year, promising the world’s thinnest RTX Spark laptops built for powerful performance.

For desktop users, HP is introducing a compact Mini AI PC called the HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC. It uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with built-in AI capabilities and replaces bulky towers with a small footprint. It supports Thunderbolt Share, so you can control two PCs with one keyboard and mouse, and it offers fast file transfers. The OmniDesk Mini has two Thunderbolt 4 ports and can drive up to four 4K displays, making it suitable for creators who need multiple monitors and fast data workflows.

HP is also expanding workstation options with the HP Z2 Mini G1a, which runs on AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 series processors. It includes the validated AMD Ryzen AI Halo developer software stack, with the Ryzen AI Developer Center, AMD ROCm, pre-installed AI frameworks, models and guided playbooks. Developers can start building and running advanced AI workloads instantly without setting up the stack from scratch. This version will be available in select retail channels later this year.

For enterprise and regulated environments, HP introduces the HP ZGX Nano, a new configuration designed for secure, local AI processing. It physically restricts wireless access and external interfaces to minimise attack surfaces, built on Zero Trust principles. This sets a new benchmark for AI development in classified and remote environments.

HP is also previewing an ultimate deskside AI supercomputer powered by the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip, which will support Windows later this year. This system will help enterprise teams build, run and connect always-on, frontier AI agents to Windows applications and workflows.

Market comparison

Compared with older Windows PCs, the RTX Spark portfolio’s main upgrades are native support for personal AI agents, pre-configured developer environments and secure local AI processing. These should make it easier for creators and developers to run AI workflows without relying entirely on cloud services.

Against the wider market, HP’s approach differs from rivals that focus mainly on raw gaming or general productivity. Many existing Windows PCs require developers to set up toolchains, containers and AI frameworks manually. HP’s RTX Spark devices and workstation offerings come with pre-packaged environments, OpenClaw-based starter kits and support for agent frameworks such as Hermes, cutting setup time. The compact OmniDesk Mini also stands out by offering full-sized PC performance in a small design with Thunderbolt Share, a feature not common in most mini PCs.

Concrete pricing and final availability details are not yet known for the OmniBook Ultra 16, OmniBook X 14 and OmniDesk Mini. HP will share more pricing and device details closer to launch, with the OmniDesk Mini expected in August 2026 and the RTX Spark laptops later this year.
