[Exclusive] itel to launch three new smartphones under Power series in India this February

Here's a look at what we know so far about the new itel devices. 

New itel Power smartphones launching soon 

• According to industry sources, itel is launching three new smartphones under its Power series, as mentioned. The itel launch event is also tipped to take place in February. The specific launch date hasn't been revealed yet but it's expected to be announced soon. 
• The first phone from the series will come with Android 14 (Go edition) out-of-the-box. It looks like only one phone from the series will run on Android Go. This Android version is specifically designed for entry-level phones, and it comes with key features from the regular Android OS.
• The second smartphone from the itel Power series is said to be designed with quick and efficient power replenishment, and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
• As for the third model in the itel Power series, this one will come with an exclusive India-first memory feature. 

We have also gotten a marketing image of a smartphone, believed to be the device with ultra-fast charging capabilities. The caption reads "Power Play", and we see the phone with a flat display and punch-hole camera on top, and the power key and volume buttons on the right side. The battery percentage and supercharge is also displayed on top with the selfie camera. At the back, there's a dual camera setup with the sensors aligned vertically. The new itel phone also appears to have flat edges. 

There's no word on how much the new itel phones will be priced around but we're expecting it to fall in the budget category. The last smartphone from itel's Power series is the Power 55 5G. It starts at Rs 9,699 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Here's a quick look at its specs.

• Display: itel Power P55 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.
• Processor: The smartphone is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 6080 chipset. 
• RAM and storage: It comes in two variants of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (with virtual RAM options).
• Cameras: The itel Power P55 5G sports a 50MP primary camera and AI camera at the back with an 8MP front camera. 
• Battery, charging: The smartphone also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. 
• Software: On the software front, the itel P55 5G runs Android 13 out-of-the-box. 
• Other features: The itel Power P55 5G also comes with a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
