Realme GT 6T launch date in India, availability

Moreover, the company also confirmed that the Realme GT 6T will be available for purchase via Amazon, the Realme official website, and offline stores. It’s also likely that the Realme GT 6T will launch as India’s first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3-powered phone.

Realme GT 6T price in India

A previous leak suggests that the Realme GT 6T could start at Rs 31,999 for the base model without any offer. However, the actual launch price of the Realme GT 6T can be much lower than the leaked price. Separately, another leak suggests that the device will come in at least two shades: green and silver.

The rumour mill also suggests that Realme GT 6T will launch in India as a rebranded version of Realme GT Neo6 SE, so we can expect the hardware specifications to be the same.

Realme GT 6T specifications

    • Display: The Realme GT 6T will feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 6000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. If we compare this to the last Realme GT device, the Realme GT Neo 3, the device had similar display specifications, suggesting there is hardly any upgrade besides the 6000 nits peak brightness.
    • Processor: It will draw power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno 732 GPU. The GT Neo 3 shipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC at the helm. While we don’t know how powerful the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 might be, we can only hope it to be superior to the MediaTek Dimensity 8100.
    • RAM/Storage: The Realme GT 6T will equip 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. While the GT Neo 3 also packed 12GB RAM, it had UFS 3.1 storage, meaning you will get a better and faster storage option with the GT 6T.
    • Cameras: The device could come with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies and video chats, it will house a 32MP Sony IMX615 snapper at the front. The GT Neo 3 has a triple camera setup: a 50MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP micro. While you don’t get the third sensor with the GT 6T, the 32MP selfie snapper is a huge upgrade over the 16MP front-facing camera of the GT Neo 3.
    • Battery and charging: A 5,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging will power the package. The company claims that the 120W fast charger can charge the device up to 50% in just 10 minutes. With the GT Neo 3, the company offered a 5,000mAh battery and an 80W charger. Meaning, the GT 6T will offer a considerable upgrade in the battery and charging department.
    • OS: It will likely boot Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin out of the box.

Security and other features: It will have an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, an IR blaster, dual stereo speakers, an IP65 rating, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an X-axis linear vibrator motor.

Thanks to leaked renders and official teasers, we already know what the device will look like ahead of its launch. At the front, it has a flat display with thin bezels and a punch-hole cutout for a selfie snapper in the centre at the top.

The device houses a power button and volume rockers on the right side. It has a USB Type-C port for charging, speaker grills, and a microphone at the bottom. The rear panel has Realme branding at the bottom left and a dual camera setup at the top left. Alongside the dual camera setup, there is a dual flash setup housed in a circular module.

The dual camera setup and flash module are housed in a square island with a darker contrast than the body.

    Realme GT 6T alternatives

If Realme indeed launches the GT 6T with a Rs 31,999 price tag, the device will compete with the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and iQOO Neo 9 Pro available in the same price segment. With the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, you get a better selfie camera (50MP) and a triple rear camera setup (50MP + 10MP + 13MP).

On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro offers a better SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)  and a 144Hz refresh rate display. However, the Realme GT 6T offers a similar arsenal for the other hardware specifications, if not better.

We expect more details about the Realme GT 6T to surface online as we inch closer to its imminent launch.
