Honor 600 Pro leak hints at detachable secondary screen accessory ahead of China launch
Honor is preparing to launch the Honor 600 series in China on May 25th, but the Chinese versions may end up feeling quite different from the models the company recently introduced globally. A new leak from tipster Fixed Focus Digital suggests Honor is experimenting with a detachable secondary screen accessory for the phones.
The idea is unusual, though not completely new. Realme recently experimented with a selfie mirror on the Realme 16, while Xiaomi’s 17 Pro models have integrated secondary displays directly into the rear panel. Honor seems to be taking a middle-ground approach with a magnetic detachable screen instead. The leak also includes a blurred image showing the attachment fixed onto the rear panel of the phone.

Honor 600 (China) vs Honor 600 (global)
Globally, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro launched with 6.57-inch AMOLED displays, 120Hz refresh rates, and batteries up to 7,000mAh. The standard version uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, while the Pro model runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. The China variants are expected to push battery capacity much further.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the Honor 600 could feature an 8,600mAh battery, while the Honor 600 Pro may pack an 8,000mAh unit. Those are large numbers for mainstream premium phones, but they also reflect a broader shift happening across the Chinese smartphone market right now. The OnePlus Nord 6 debuted with a 9,000mAh battery and Vivo and Realme have already jumped onto the 10,000mAh bandwagon. So even while 8,000mAh is large for a smartphone battery, it’s not particularly unusual in today’s day and age.
There are other changes too. The Chinese Honor 600 Pro is tipped to switch from the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip used globally to a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 processor instead. That likely points towards a different pricing and efficiency strategy for China. The design is also expected to change. Unlike the global models, which use separate circular camera rings, the China variants are tipped to feature a single horizontal camera bar across the rear panel.
Camera hardware otherwise appears mostly similar. Both phones are expected to retain the 200MP primary camera, while the Pro model should continue offering a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and wireless charging support.
India launch
As of now, there is no indication that the Honor 600 series will launch in India. The company’s last major smartphone launch in the country happened in August 2025, when they introduced the Honor X7c. Since then, the brand has remained relatively quiet in India after a few frequent launches.
The detachable screen accessory may also remain limited to China. Features like these often start as market experiments before brands decide whether they are practical enough to expand globally, so buyers need not base their buying decision on that.
