Honor is pushing battery limits on a smartphone further with the launch of the Honor X80 Pro Max. The new smartphone packs an enormous 11,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest-battery phones from a mainstream brand to date. The X80 Pro Max succeeds Honor’s earlier high-capacity devices and raises the bar beyond the 10,000mAh mark. For context, it launched the first phone with an 8,000mAh battery, which is the Honor Power.
Hono X80 Pro Max specifications
On the front, the Honor X80 Pro Max features a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an adaptive 60Hz-120Hz refresh rate. Honor claims the panel can reach an industry-leading 10,000 nits peak brightness under specific conditions. Other display highlights include 3840Hz PWM dimming and slim 1.3mm bezels.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor for affordable mid-range phones, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16-based MagicOS 10 and includes AI-powered features such as AI Outdoor Mode and AI Grip Control.

The highlight of the Honor X80 Pro Max remains the fourth-generation Qinghai Lake battery. Honor says the 11,000mAh cell can deliver up to 42 days of standby time. This battery capacity should easily deliver multi-day usage. Most phones offer around 6,000-7,000mAh battery capacities, so the Honor X80 Pro Max will undoubtedly stand out among the crowd. The company also claims the device set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous smartphone livestream, lasting over 26 hours. Charging is handled by 90W wired fast charging, while 27W reverse wired charging allows the phone to power other devices.
For cameras, the X80 Pro Max gets a 50MP primary camera with OIS and CIPA 6.0 stabilization, alongside an 8MP front camera. Additional features include stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, and SGS five-star drop resistance certification.
Priced from CNY 1,999 (Rs 27,927 approx), the Honor X80 Pro Max appears aimed at users who prioritise battery life above everything else. Those looking for multi-day endurance, outdoor usage, or a reliable travel phone may find it particularly appealing, while power users seeking flagship-level cameras or performance may still prefer premium Snapdragon 8-series alternatives. It would still be advisable to check for reviews before going ahead and buying the phone.
