HP unveils 20+ products in India, enters new categories with OmniPad 12 and EliteBoard G1a AI keyboard PC

HP EliteBoard G1a: A full AI PC built into a keyboard

The standout product from the launch is the HP EliteBoard G1a Next Gen AI PC. This device combines the entire computing experience, processor, storage, and connectivity within a keyboard chassis. Designed for modern collaborative workplaces, the EliteBoard G1a works with AMD processors, delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance. This enables on-device AI acceleration without needing an external tower or desktop.

The product targets hot-desking environments and hybrid offices. It makes hardware deployment easier for enterprises. Users can connect the EliteBoard G1a to any compatible monitor and enjoy a complete AI PC experience without extra hardware on the desk. HP is marketing this as a new product type, called Keyboard PC, and the G1a is currently the only offering in this category.

The HP EliteBoard G1a is available now on the HP online store, starting at Rs 89,900.

HP OmniPad 12: HP’s first Android tablet-PC

In addition to the EliteBoard, HP also launched the HP OmniPad 12. Brand’s first Android-powered detachable tablet is making its debut in India. The OmniPad 12 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and runs Android. It features a 12-inch multi-touch display and a detachable keyboard. HP says it is designed to blend tablet convenience with PC-level productivity.

This device targets students, first-time PC users, and small business professionals. Basically, users who are looking for a versatile device that excels in content consumption, classroom learning, and everyday productivity tasks. It boasts a battery life of up to 18 hours.

The HP OmniPad 12 will be available in June 2026 through the HP online store, Amazon, Reliance, and HP World stores, starting at Rs 48,999.

EliteBook, ProBook, and OmniBook: Next-gen AI PC lineup

HP also expanded its mainstream and enterprise laptop options with new AI-focused models across three sub-brands.

The EliteBook and ProBook series, designed for enterprise users, include the HP EliteBook X G2, EliteBook 8 G2, and ProBook 4 G2. These laptops provide up to 85 TOPS of AI performance with various Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm processor configurations. Features for enterprise security include HP Wolf Security and HP Sure View privacy screen technology. The EliteBook X G2 is also the first HP enterprise laptop available in three colour options: Eclipse Grey, Atmospheric Blue, and Glacier Silver.

The OmniBook series targets creators and modern professionals with models like the OmniBook Ultra 14, OmniBook X 14, OmniBook 5, and OmniBook 3. These devices deliver up to 80 TOPS of AI performance and support HP’s new AI-powered app experiences. Such as posture correction and gesture controls. HP includes a compact GaN charger with this lineup for improved portability.

HP IQ and HP NearSense: On-device AI and proximity connectivity

A software layer connecting much of the new product range is HP IQ. HP’s on-device AI platform is launching on selected HP AI PCs. HP IQ provides contextual assistance, document analysis, and meeting note capture. This is all processed locally without relying on the cloud.

HP IQ also features HP NearSense, which allows for device discovery, faster pairing, and seamless screen casting among HP ecosystem devices. HP IQ is expected to be available on select AI PCs later in 2026.

Z Workstations and HP Solutions: High-performance and hybrid IT

For IT teams and professionals managing demanding AI and graphics-intensive tasks, HP announced a new generation of Z Workstation hardware. The updated lineup includes the HP Z8 Fury G6i, HP ZGX Nano G1n AI station, HP Z4 G6i, and HP ZBook X G2i 16 series. These products offer next-generation AI workstation performance with both AMD and Intel processor options and scalable memory.

HP also introduced HP Z Remote Graphics Software. This allows secure remote access to high-performance workstation environments for graphics-heavy workloads. This is useful for studios, engineering teams, and hybrid IT deployments.

On the management side, HP has expanded its Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) with AI-driven updates. These updates provide IT administrators with deeper device insights and more automated issue resolution across device fleets.

All Z Workstations and HP Solutions products are available through HP’s commercial channel partner network.

HP Poly collaboration hardware

To enhance its collaboration offerings, HP introduced the Poly Mission 400 Series headsets, featuring AI-powered noise reduction, noise-cancelling microphones, and wideband audio. The company also launched the Poly G62 Video Conferencing Solution with A2 Bridge. It’s a modular conferencing system with AI-enabled audio and video capabilities for meeting rooms.

Both products are available through HP’s commercial resellers.

HP AI Optimise Print Formatting: Smarter printing

In the printing sector, HP introduced HP AI Optimise Print Formatting. This feature aims to automatically correct layout issues, alignment problems, and formatting inconsistencies before a document is printed. It is designed to reduce paper waste and improve output quality for home and office use. HP AI Optimise Print Formatting is currently available on selected HP InkJet printers.

Today’s launch highlights HP’s effort to go beyond simple hardware updates and position itself as a complete AI computing company. The expansion offers everything from entry-level Android tablets to enterprise AI workstations. Along with a new category called Keyboard PC.

The OmniPad 12 at Rs 48,999 is the most accessible entry point and makes sense for students or first-time users. The OmniBook 5 at Rs 1,24,999 is the sweet spot for everyday professionals wanting a mainstream AI laptop. Those deeper into enterprise workflows should look at the EliteBook or ProBook range. The EliteBoard G1a is a niche but genuinely interesting option for offices looking to reduce desktop hardware clutter. Though, as a first-generation product in a new category, real-world validation is still pending.

Meanwhile, the HP IQ platform, with on-device AI and proximity connectivity, provides a cohesive software approach. That also connects the product lineup, rather than depending only on processor TOPS numbers. The real measure of HP IQ’s effectiveness will depend on its performance in real-world applications.
