OnePlus has finally entered the clip-on wireless earbuds segment with its first product, the OnePlus Buds Clip. The TWS has launched globally, but OnePlus has yet to reveal pricing details. OnePlus Buds Clip features an open-ear design with clip-on functionality, where one side sits on the back of the ear like a fashion accessory. OnePlus is joining a growing line of brands, both in the budget and premium segments, to introduce clip-on earbuds.
OnePlus Buds Clip design, colours
The OnePlus Buds Clip feature a flexible Ni-Ti strip shaped into a slim C-arc. OnePlus says that the TWS is thinner and lighter than titanium wire and can quickly return to its original shape after bending. The design adapts to different ear shapes and offers a secure fit without putting too much pressure on the ears. Compared to in-ear TWS, this design should be more comfortable, especially for long hours of use.

The earbuds weigh 5.2 grams each and have received TÜV Rheinland Comfortable Fit certification. In terms of materials, the earbuds feature a matte paint finish that highlights the material’s natural sheen. They also come with an excimer soft-touch coating, which gives them a smooth, velvety feel. The Buds Clip comes in three colours: Pearl White, Pebble Grey, and Twilight Rose.
OnePlus Buds Clip specifications, features
The OnePlus Buds Clip is equipped with Dynaudio-tuned dual drivers, an 11mm woofer, and a 9mm tweeter. The earbuds come with LHDC 3.0 codec support for high-definition audio streaming. The OnePlus Buds Clip also features dipole sound field technology, which uses reverse sound waves to help reduce sound leakage so nearby people don’t hear the audio. You also get a six-microphone array with bone-conduction voice pick-up units, which help separate the user’s voice from background noise.
Battery life is rated at 40 hours with the charging case. The Buds Clip are said to deliver up to 9.5 hours of playback on a single charge and 8 hours per charge with the LHDC codec. The earbuds also come with an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for workouts. More features include Bluetooth 6.1, dual-device pairing, and AI-powered translation, but only on a compatible OnePlus smartphone.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability details yet, so it’s not clear which markets are getting the Buds Clip. But we expect the earbuds to sit in the mid-range segment. If your priority is comfort or fashion and you’re willing to wait for pricing, these could be a strong contender. However, if sound quality and ANC are paramount, you might consider existing in-ear options.
