The iQOO 15R appears to be close to launching in India, and a recent Geekbench listing has offered an early look at its key hardware. iQOO has already confirmed that the phone is coming to India and will be sold via Amazon, though an official launch date has not been announced yet. The benchmark listing suggests the rollout may not be far away.
The Geekbench entry, shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, shows a device listed as Vivo I2508, which is believed to be the Indian variant of the iQOO 15R. The listing reveals an OpenCL score of 7,687 and points to an octa-core Qualcomm chipset with two high-performance cores clocked at up to 3.80GHz, along with four additional cores running at up to 3.32GHz. These clock speeds line up with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, placing the iQOO 15R in the near-flagship category. The phone is also shown running Android 16 with 8GB of RAM, though iQOO is expected to offer higher memory variants at launch.
The hardware details closely match the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which launched in China earlier this month, and the iQOO 15R is tipped to be a rebadged version of that model. If that is the case, the phone could feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Storage options could go up to 1TB using UFS 4.1, paired with as much as 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
Camera specifications are also expected to carry over from the Chinese model. The iQOO 15R may feature a 200MP primary rear camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, along with a 32MP front camera. As with most iQOO phones in this segment, the emphasis is likely to be on performance and battery life rather than camera refinement.
Battery capacity is expected to be a key highlight. The iQOO Z11 Turbo packs a 7,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, which is on the higher side in this price range. If the same setup makes it to India, the iQOO 15R could hold an advantage over competing models that offer smaller batteries or slower charging.
In China, the iQOO Z11 Turbo starts at CNY 2,699, or roughly Rs 36,000. If iQOO manages similar pricing for the Indian market, the 15R could appeal to buyers looking for flagship-level performance, a fast AMOLED display, and long battery life, while those who prioritise camera quality may want to consider alternatives once pricing is confirmed.
