Lumio is expanding beyond televisions and projectors with the Lumio Aura 5, its first active bookshelf speaker system. The speakers focus on high output, multiple connectivity options and dedicated audio modes for different listening preferences. They also support lossless audio playback and come with an OLED remote for controlling settings.
Lumio Aura 5 price in India, availability
The Lumio Aura 5 is priced at Rs 24,999 in India, although the company is offering an introductory price of Rs 19,999. Additional bank discounts will also be available, bringing the effective price down further for eligible buyers. The speakers will go on sale on October 15th via Amazon, as part of the e-commerce platform’s upcoming Great Indian Festival 2026 sale.
At the introductory price, the Aura 5 could appeal to buyers looking for a dedicated stereo system for music, films and desktop use. Unlike a conventional soundbar, a bookshelf speaker setup uses separate left and right speakers, which can offer a more distinct stereo presentation. However, buyers prioritising a compact setup or a dedicated surround-sound experience may want to consider alternatives in those categories.

The Lumio Aura 5 is an active Hi-Fi bookshelf speaker system featuring dual 4.5-inch aluminium woofers and dual 1-inch silk dome tweeters. Lumio claims a peak output of 200W and sustained output of 100W, with a sustained sound pressure level of 105dB at 1 metre. The speakers have a claimed frequency response of 35Hz to 20,000Hz and support lossless audio playback at up to 24-bit/48kHz.
The system features DGS Audio Tuning, with Studio, Cinema and Groove modes for different listening preferences. Connectivity options include HDMI ARC, USB for PC connections and playback, optical, coaxial, a 3.5 mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.4. HDMI ARC should make it easier to connect the speakers to a compatible television, while USB and Bluetooth provide options for desktop and wireless music playback.
Lumio is also bundling its Minion OLED remote, which connects over Bluetooth and allows users to adjust settings. A dedicated app for Android and iOS is planned, although the company has not specified its release date. The Aura 5 comes with a one-year comprehensive warranty for the speakers and a six-month warranty for the remote, along with home service.
At Rs 19,999, the Aura 5’s combination of wired inputs, Bluetooth and TV connectivity gives it flexibility beyond a conventional wireless speaker. Buyers should weigh that against the space required for separate bookshelf speakers and compare the system’s actual sound quality with similarly priced powered speakers before purchasing. The claimed output and frequency response provide useful specifications, but listening performance will ultimately matter more than peak wattage alone.
