Motorola has implemented significant price revisions across several of its smartphones in India, with some models seeing hikes of up to Rs 9,000. The revised prices affect devices across Motorola’s budget, mid-range, and premium segments, including popular picks like the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Fusion. The price hike comes amid the ongoing crisis of higher component costs in the smartphone industry. This is also not the first price hike for Motorola phones.
Among the affected devices, the Moto G37 Power (review) has received the steepest price increase. The 4GB + 128GB variant has gone up from Rs 15,999 to Rs 21,999, while the 8GB + 128GB model now costs Rs 27,999 instead of its original Rs 18,999 launch price.
The Moto G37 Power stands out with its Dimensity 6400 chipset, clean software experience, and excellent 7,000mAh battery life. While the cameras can occasionally produce dull colours and the single OS upgrade feels limiting, especially now at its much higher price of RS 27,999. If you were considering this phone at its original price, the new price makes it less competitive, so consider waiting for sales or looking at alternatives.
The standard Moto G37 has also become significantly more expensive, rising from Rs 13,999 to Rs 18,999. Other G-series devices have received smaller but notable increases:
| Model | Variant | Old price | New price |
| Moto G37 Power | 4GB + 128GB | Rs 15,999 | Rs 21,999 |
| 8GB + 128GB | Rs 18,999 | Rs 27,999 | |
| Moto G67 Power | 8GB + 128GB | Rs 20,999 | Rs 22,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 22,999 | Rs 27,999 | |
| Moto G37 | 4GB + 64GB | Rs 13,999 | Rs 18,999 |
| Moto G57 Power | 8GB + 128GB | Rs 19,999 | Rs 21,999 |
| Moto G06 Power | 4GB + 64GB | Rs 12,999 | Rs 15,999 |
Motorola’s premium Edge 70 lineup has also been affected. The Edge 70 Fusion (review) has received hikes ranging between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000, depending on the variant.
We found the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to be a stylish and well-balanced mid-range smartphone with a slim design, vibrant curved display, reliable battery life, capable cameras, and clean software. While performance-focused users may find better alternatives, it remains a strong choice for those seeking a premium design and dependable everyday experience.
| Variant | Old price | New price |
| 8GB + 128GB | Rs 26,999 | Rs 30,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs 32,999 | Rs 34,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 32,999 | Rs 34,999 |
| 12GB + 512GB | Rs 35,999 | Rs 38,999 |
Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Pro has seen a comparatively modest increase of Rs 1,000 across both variants. Is it still a good buy? The smartphone skips features like wireless charging, a telephoto camera, and longer software support, but makes up for it with a slim design, vibrant AMOLED display, large 6,500mAh battery, fast charging, and reliable performance. While rivals may offer better cameras or longevity, the Edge 70 Pro remains a strong option for users who prioritise design, battery life, and a smooth everyday experience.
| Variant | Old price | New price |
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs 38,999 | Rs 39,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 41,999 | Rs 42,999 |
The older Edge 60 Fusion has also received a price hike, moving from Rs 26,999 to Rs 29,999.
The revised pricing significantly changes Motorola’s value proposition in certain segments. Buyers should carefully compare Motorola’s revised prices against competing smartphones before making a purchase.
While Motorola continues to offer advantages such as near-stock Android, strong build quality, and large batteries, some of the revised prices place these devices in more competitive categories than they originally occupied. However, with every other brand hiking prices, the pricing categories are also getting automatically adjusted.
